I am genuinely impressed that this seems to be a 3D game! Didn't even know GDevelop was capable of 3D games. The gameplay is...fine, for a game jam-type game, just obviously gets repetitive after a few minutes without a genuine "end-game" to shoot for.

This is such a cute and cool game, and yet another reminder of the type of indie magic that can happen with only 3 people working on a game they're passionate about (a programmer, an artist and a musician)! Waha's sprites are too cute for words, especially the funny little dance she makes when she clears one of the Tetris puzzle-like levels! I love the music, too, reminds me of the catchy arcade-style music I would regularly hear in the Dreamcast and GameCube era of gaming. The game itself is fun and well above what I would expect from a typical Newgrounds Game Portal submission, although it is certainly a work-in-progress in parts--in the description, it should mention that if you manage to get yourself stuck in a sort of "soft-lock" situation, the simple solution is to press "Esc" to bring up the pause menu and press Retry.

Once the kinks are all worked out and the second half comes out, though, I would love for this to get a proper Steam release--and I say Steam specifically because I recently got a Steam Deck and I would love to play ALL my indie favorites on that excellent handheld device!

This is so much less frustrating than the real MineSweeper.

This is EXTREMELY impressive! I'm a sucker for cute 3D platformers! The camera controls don't seem to work on controller (I have to use the mouse) and the music seems to cut off in an eerie way, but I don't care! There just aren't enough relaxing 3D platformers in this day and age, indie or otherwise!

Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed it! We are pushing a patch for controller fixes soon :D

I am too distracted by the waifu I’m playing as to give any genuine criticism. Also I’m an artist, not a coder, so I don’t know if I can really offer any more good feedback anyway. 5 stars for the player character that bounces in ways that are more appealing to me.

Pretty cool first attempt at a game. I do have some critiques for your next attempt, though--I have actually used GDevelop in the past.

- The collision box on the player is too small. I understand if you want to make things a smidge easier by making it harder to hit the player, but it should be at least close to the player character's size so that it doesn't seem to sink into the platforms or miss enemies and coins when the player looks like it's touching both.

- Please explain the controls in the description, if not in the game itself. Yes, the controls are the standard arrow keys to move and Space to jump, but at first I guessed it used the WASD keys instead. Also, it looks like you can only move while jumping, which makes sense for balls, but it needs to be explained

-More levels as you get more confident in GDevelop, of course.

I hope these critiques don't discourage you, but give you a clear idea what to work on next as you slowly work on what will become your own indie smash hit!

I like that GDevelop lets me finish something without crashing into a haze of technical nonsense that discourages me from finishing a project. Attempts at Unity and Godot have resulted in failure. I passed my Unity Classes at Full Sail University after failing 4 times.

Pretty fun, but somehow the collision is weird with the platforms and I find the fox randomly falling through several platforms at once, often to its death when I fall through a platform near the bottom of the screen that I should have easily landed on.

The face is indeed very punchable.

The voice acting is the best part!

plufmot responds:

voice acting è divertente! ahaha

I love me some platformers, but this needs more polish and time in the oven. The abrupt ending, using a literal letter C to represent checkpoints, and the unfinished animations (if certain characters have animations applied to them at all) all give away that this is not quite ready for public consumption. Keep at it!

Hi, my name is Jeffrey Thrash. You may know me from my YouTube channel. I enjoy video games and cartoons and I like to create my own animations. Enjoy!
