yo what a coincidence, one of the things that is making me take so long to release new stuff is exactly that, backgrounds, been doin a lot of perspective stuff with city shit, cars and many shit and it's more laborous than i thought it was, doing bgs is so boring, damn

The annoying thing is that I actually bought a pre-made background to save time (something you can do in 3D animation), but of course I was cheap and bought something that I still needed to spend a lot of time optimizing the technical stuff, baking nicer-looking textures and making sure the final render won't require too much extra time (or worse, require me to spend MORE money on a render farm). It certainly doesn't help that BforArtists (a fork of Blender 3D) may have the worst, most unnecessarily complicated texturing and baking tools known to mankind. It saved me a little bit of time compared to making the background completely from scratch (and it's far more lush and detailed than what I could feasibly do by myself) and gave me more time to refine the actual characters and important props, but it clearly didn't save me as much time as I would have thought.

@jthrash yeah, sometimes things don't go the way we plan. 3D really ain't my thing, "baking", "render farm", "fork of blender3d" i dont understand those things lol i better stick with 2D only, it really is challenging to be a one man studio without spending more money than you can get

You have to be somewhere between an artist and a programmer to even bother with 3D. You have to actually enjoy working with numbers, but not to the point where you would rather just type in code in WordPad or Visual Studio (though I've heard that's how early attempts at 3D animation, like Toy Story, were made). It is nice not having to draw every single frame of animation or draw the same scenes in different perspectives, though.

@jthrash lol that surely looks like a hell of a work, programming and numbers really ain't my thing, i tried to make small edits on gta cleo mods and i couldn't do much, tried super mario world romhacking too, i'm more into humanities and social sciences rather than technology and exact sciences
