If you want something uplifting with a bonus of innocence, you can try out Frog & Toad, Stillwater, or Elinor Wonders Why (yes it's PBS Kids but science themed so you might learn something, who knows).

Like Rocko's Modern Life? Admittedly, not a lot of "adult" animation outside of early Simpsons and Smiling Friends appeals to me, I guess I'm perfectly fine if it's like Rocko's Modern Life in that it depicts young adult life.
