Progress will slow a bit on my current Whiny Dodo animation because I need to take some extra time optimizing the background and its textures/lighting before I can REALLY move onto animation, just so it won't be a complete pain to animate and then render everything on my laptop. Sorry...

yo what a coincidence, one of the things that is making me take so long to release new stuff is exactly that, backgrounds, been doin a lot of perspective stuff with city shit, cars and many shit and it's more laborous than i thought it was, doing bgs is so boring, damn

The annoying thing is that I actually bought a pre-made background to save time (something you can do in 3D animation), but of course I was cheap and bought something that I still needed to spend a lot of time optimizing the technical stuff, baking nicer-looking textures and making sure the final render won't require too much extra time (or worse, require me to spend MORE money on a render farm). It certainly doesn't help that BforArtists (a fork of Blender 3D) may have the worst, most unnecessarily complicated texturing and baking tools known to mankind. It saved me a little bit of time compared to making the background completely from scratch (and it's far more lush and detailed than what I could feasibly do by myself) and gave me more time to refine the actual characters and important props, but it clearly didn't save me as much time as I would have thought.
