Hideki is the one bright spot in the portal to Hell that is Twitter. His music is, of course, fantastic, I still love the soundtracks to Air Gear, Jet Set/Grind Radio and both Sonic Rush games, and I’ve also bought a lot of mediocre indie games simply because they had one song by him—maybe two if I’m lucky.
Also, I’m sure Warner Bros. appreciates you giving them ideas for an all-female Tom and Jerry reboot when they inevitably Thanos-Snap almost a century’s worth of cartoon history because some 50-something NYT columnist decided to get offended by his childhood cartoons and make a single Tweet saying that it should be banned to save Roe vs. Wade or something, and apparently that’s all it takes for WB to do a “Disney” and hide from their past instead of just putting poorly-aged cartoons on a Blu-Ray collection and warning adult audiences that they haven’t aged well.
“Old media” farts telling grown adults like me that I’m too dumb to watch old cartoons without immediately becoming an axe murderer are obviously the opposite of Hideki on Twitter.
