[Lion King the Remakeboot]

I know the animation was supposed to be terrible, but at times there were some unintentionally-good squash and stretch that might actually be useful with more polished 3D characters and rigs? Intentional or not, it was definitely more fun to watch than the official Disney remake!

People keep telling me this is the best online cartoon ever and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I think the sincerity and good-natured-ness is what propels it above the rest. Anybody can make a cynical parody of everything wrong with the world, but only true talented artists can make their characters deeply flawed yet extremely lovable. You just earned a new fan.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I think people are generally decent underneath and mostly try to write characters empathetically. Also I don't know who was telling you such good things about this series but they sound cool haha.

The animation and character designs are by far the best part of this, and the writing was pretty great. The voice acting was both weak and baffling, though—why does the boy sound like a little girl and why does the Mom sound like a Dad? It didn’t help that it sounded like all the audio was recorded in a tunnel. You may want to hire professional sound editors and voice actors if you want the sound to be as good as the animation.

Neat little senior project. Hopefully the animators that worked on this have since gotten better at solid forms, the line work was very rough and wiggly, but again, for a senior project, it’s very pretty.

As much as I liked the melancholy silence and respect for the audience’s intelligence, I felt like it would be a bit easier to follow if it had some voiceovers.
