You should do it too if you want!
Call me a nerd, but I absolutely LOVE the look of hand=painted textures, especially when it's faking advanced rendering techniques, such as the specular sheen on these Slimes. Realistic PBR textures and lighting is for the weak!
That depends on the polygon count of the steak. The last dinner in the pilot was a bit Nintendo 64-ish, I'd say.
This one will be Gamecube level poly count, so little higher
Your characters got so skinny over the years...quick, give them a cheeseburger before they starve!
Pure evil and malice emanates from this picture, and I don't get the reference enough to know why...
This is absolutely beautiful. Made my entire week already! You know you've got this "pixel art" thing figured out when, at first glance, it looks more like an oil painting than a digital piece! The artist(s) of the Amiga classic "Shadow of the Beast" would be proud!
Aww thanks dude, that's a big compliment! I do wish I could oil paint for real, but at least I can approximate it with pixels haha.
(Ryu's Theme starts playing for some reason)
There are worse final images to see right before getting stabbed to death...
I recently watched someone on YouTube play Gitaroo Man for the first time in years, and I suddenly remembered why your particular art style appeals to me so much--it reminds me so much of Gitaroo Man's effortlessly-cool art style!
...Also, I'd really like to actually play Gitaroo Man myself at some point, preferably through legal means on my new PS5.
