This remind me of that "Grendel" novel I had to read in high school--specifically the part where Grendel invades the kingdom's party and eats the princess's fetus straight from her birth canal or something truly graphic like that. Not sure why I was required to read such a disturbing novel for that English class other than it being some sort of unofficial prequel to Beowulf, but at least it wasn't the Witcher novels...
