Reminds me of how Toadstool/Peach looks in the Super Mario Bros Super Show, which I always preferred over her current, canonical design. I even had a bit of a crush on SMBSS Peach when I was a kid, too, which of course is just a long way to say I think this design is very cute!

Incredible! Also a reminder that I should probably start doing low-poly art (that generally takes less time than the high-poly, PBR-textured equivalent with far more complex rigs) just to get more practice with 3D in general! It also helps that the PSX was my first console and thus this style is super-nostalgic for me!

It’s great that One Piece is one of the more mainstream anime/manga franchises because it also has some of the most wild and interesting character designs and concepts. Meanwhile, most mainstream shows from both Western and Eastern animation industries are still under the assumption that the more popular something is, the more generic and overdone the character designs and personalities have to be to avoid “offending” anyone.

Maybe I should start watching One Piece again…

Video critic, eh?

“The entire YouTube critic community and I spend great deals of cash hate-watching and rewatching Disney remakes, make videos that are really more about our opinions on capitalism as a whole, and then wonder why these remakes make more money than the originals and Disney keeps making them, even though at this point we give these movies more money and free advertising than Facebook Moms who find Elsa ‘empowering’ at this point.”

Seems like your commissioner is one lucky dude!

Edit: This is apparently from a game called No Straight Roads. Noted!

Please tell me this is a real show that is either upcoming or I can watch right now!

Either way, this reminds me of late 2000’s cartoons when people were finally figuring out how to use Flash/2D computer animation to its fullest potential, in ways that would be too hard or expensive for traditional frame-by-frame animation (e.g. Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, although the latter is technically from the 2010’s).

Look on the bright side—now you have depth perception! Now you can play catch with your father!

Rumiko Takahashi was always the absolute best at designing waifus. You did Lum justice, Internet person!

I’d say this is perfect, but I suspect the title is subliminally affecting my opinion of this piece. It’s certainly great, in all seriousness.

Well, this is a fine mess you got us into.

Hi, my name is Jeffrey Thrash. You may know me from my YouTube channel. I enjoy video games and cartoons and I like to create my own animations. Enjoy!
