[DAE Game Art - 1001 Nights Cafe]

Oh, this is good, very good. I love warped, cartoon-y 3D backgrounds, especially since computers have a tendency to make shapes annoyingly perfect and therefore boring (e.g. perfect spheres, cubes, cylinders, etc). Lemme guess, you either learned how to use the Lattice tool to warp these shapes, or the Grab tool in a sculpting program?

I've used lattice in the past, but not much on this project. I give dynamic forms manually.

This is definitely a reference to the Gorillaz, but is the title “The World Ends With You” also a reference to the Square Enix game on the Nintendo DS (I guess mobile and the Switch, too, but TWEWY was always made specifically for the Nintendo DS, let’s not kid ourselves here)?

Jajaja yeah, eventhough the song title is in spanish, I didn’t just want to translate it and TWEWY was one of my favorite ds titles so foh sure it’s a reference to it.

I really love your autistic depiction of Rei. She has way more personality than the official version. Even if that personality is eating glue, dribbling Orange Fanta over her face like a baby and hanging out the side of the convertible like a puppy.
