The claymation-inspired character designs combined with the photorealistic backgrounds remind me of the Japanese Pikmin 2 commercial.

Exactly
The more I see the Hex Maniac, Hilda, or Nessa in particular, the more I realize I "quit" the PokƩmon games too early. There were no characters like this in PokƩmon Gold!
the fanart is far more generous to hex maniac tits than the game just fyi
I would NEVER feel comfortable drawing NSFW art of anyone real or even their OCs. Nonetheless, considering how tempting it would be to partake in the āsecond-oldest professionā and draw porn for quick and easy money (as opposed to actually āgit gudā at drawing SFW things to get a more traditional artistās jobāmade harder by fake-woke algorithms in the likes of Twitter and DeviantArt drowning out your pleasant drawings with obese anime girls, anyway) reminders like this are very welcome.
I have nothing against lewds, lewd fan art or anything. I'm no prude, and my older stuff is all sorts of NSFW, but some artists just delve into some... dark crap... so.... that's kinda the thing here. A lot of lewd artists have an incredible amount of talent, and should make money off their work. Just worry about the ones that take those "questionable" commissions that even Newgrounds wouldn't want on their platform. :(
This is an unusually detailed piece from you and you couldnāt have picked a better character for this style. Very good, gave me a good chortle.
Thank you so much! Since I've been drawing him for years, it has become a comfort character to experiment styles and details with.
But thatās a mustard dogā¦
le sigh i know i'm sorry
I would name herā¦uhhhā¦Goblinaā¦? Maybe take someone elseās name idea, I got nothinā.
That's a really good one. Not on the nose at all. Brilliant.
Nah but she's not mind to name. She belongs to the client.
Gorgeous, but the camera dust effect is a bit distracting. Maybe itās just me, but I feel these post-processing effects are only necessary when deliberately emulating old, cheap video cameras or Kodak cameras. Most expensive cameras these days try their best to avoid even having minor film grain, let alone vignettes, bloom, motion blur, etc.
thanks for the feedback! i'll be sure to keep this in mind! <3
What is it about lighting in Cinema 4D specifically that looks SO GOOD for simple, stylized art??
Good point and you got a good eye for details. I had spent more time lighting this simple model than actually modeling this art. Texturing it to get that sheen was another tricky element.
If you play around with other applications like blenders you should try their rendering engine āCyclesā, itās as powerful as V-Ray 5 + C4D
Is the lady cosplaying as Fio actually from Evil Con Carne?
yep!
