The room seems a bit sparse compared to the original, but I really liked the addition of the fat old cat arguing with her! And bouncing off the walls Arkanoid-style!

I hate how this especially applies to mobile gaming. I don't feel comfortable bringing in any device besides my phone into the workplace lunch area (for fear of it getting stolen, with the exception of my phone because I have to carry it everywhere anyway). And let me tell you, reading political opinions on that phone during my breaks is somehow less depressing than looking on the App Store in vain for a game that is actually designed to be fun (as opposed to merely an addictive Skinner's Box); you only have to pay an up-front cost once instead of microtransactions or subscriptions; and most importantly, can be played OFFLINE and doesn't require hours-long downloads and updates or a constant online Wi-Fi-only connection that I obviously can't get at a grocery store break room, defeating the purpose of it being on a portable device.
One critique I have about the rant itself, though, is that Foamy blames the game developers instead of the publishers and executives. It's not the developers' choice to add all this greedy bloat or "marketable" crossovers, it's the higher-ups forcing them to add it or else they're fired. If it were truly the dev's fault, then these same problems would be present in indie games on itch.io or Newgrounds, but no, it only really exists in games made by corporations who only care about pleasing investors with "infinite" growth/profit. And Roblox developers...
Wow, you almost animated the ENTIRE bit! I kind of wished you had gone on a bit longer to include Flander's uncharacteristically-ruthless "Hi-diddly-FUCK YOU HOMER!!" But otherwise it's a great extended bit from the great Super Mario World Playthrough and I'm glad someone finally animated it!
Fascinating. Is there any way you can make it perfectly loop? Basically, every individual thing starts and ends with the same exact keyframe values. It seemed to have come close to perfectly looping, but the lighting changed drastically from the first and last frame.
Updated! made it loop more smoothly :)
Replace Kronii with the last couple of US Presidents and you’ve suddenly got a very topical animation. That ending caught me off guard, so funny!
This one made me laugh and I can’t even explain to myself why…
That was fantastic. The random mood-killing memes were great, too! The 3D is great considering this obviously doesn’t quite have the same budget as the real Death Stranding and now I want to see what an indie “strand-type” game is like, although I’m sure there are at least 20 indie studios currently working on that as we speak.
Was that Berd in the background of one of the shots? That’s awesome.
Also, I’m weirdly-curious enough to see the censored version now. I have no idea how you could make this obviously-sexual idea “advertiser-friendly” on YouTube, but apparently you made it work and I want to know how! Of course, I’m sue the Newgrounds version is still the superior one. Very sexy, nice work!
Yes, the self-proclaimed “gatekeepers” on Newgrounds’ Movie Portal can be annoying, especially when they’re giving you bad reviews just because you made a very short animation that would be welcomed on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok or even Newgrounds’ Art Portal, but for some reason not in the Movie Portal because it’s not a 90-minute animated movie with ‘90’s Disney Renaissance quality hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation that is best watched on a desktop PC as opposed to a tiny phone screen.
BUTT. To be fair, Newgrounds is quite tiny compared to the likes of YouTube and I doubt Tom Fulp has the money and infrastructure to host all videos, good and bad, popular and unpopular, and deal with the constant loss in profit that results in having to host so many videos like Google or Tencent can. So I have found that it would be common courtesy to only post my absolute best of the best content here while being more experimental on YouTube, while supporting the site monthly. And if in Doobus Goobus’s case it means we get more-detailed backgrounds and more original concepts here, then I suppose encouraging more creativity and effort from popular animators is a net positive for all, even if I wouldn’t say Goobus being able to find a workflow to post parodies every single week really counts as “spamming.”
Funny concept and writing, but this time with original characters!
I had JUST watched this on YouTube, but until I muster the money to support the Patreon (I NEED more episodes!!), I just would like to support Monkey Wrench and toot its horn on Newgrounds as well! This is so much higher-quality than most of what I see on TV or even streaming services these days!
Hi, my name is Jeffrey Thrash. You may know me from my YouTube channel. I enjoy video games and cartoons and I like to create my own animations. Enjoy!
