She must have gotten that obnoxious ear worm back when radio stations were constantly playing “Let It Go” and “Everything is Awesome.” Great soundtrack and animation, by the way. It kind of gives me PS1/DOS horror survival vibes...

AntonM responds:

Cheers yeah i love horror games, gives me a ton of inspiration

Fun, great animation, but I wish there was music or sound. Maybe if you didn’t want to add sound, this would have worked better as a GIF in the Art section (as opposed to the movie section)? I’ve learned the hard way that people who follow the Movies section actually have some pretty high standards, not that expecting quality is in any way bad.

ClunkerBunkers responds:

Sadly when it comes to gifs the software I use kills the quality of the animation, that’s why I use the movies tab but if there’s any other website that produce gifs please let me know! Also much appreciated for your feedback

Absolutely badass. The music is the highlight of the whole animation, followed by the visual storytelling and insanely detailed pixel art. Having tried my hand at massive pixel characters lately, I can sympathize with how hard it must be, so I can forgive the extremely limited animation. But seriously, where can I find the music for listening? I want it! I want it bad!

stevenm1988 responds:

It's linked on the left of the page, under "Credits & Info"

This gives me so many ideas and even makes me want to consider doing traditional 2D animation again (These would be much, much more expensive to do in 3D)! I’m only giving 4 stars because some of these animations really need an epileptic seizure warning, but otherwise this is definitely going on my “Tutorials” playlist!

Trippple responds:

Some of the styles would be interesting to see in 3D though.
Thank you for pointing out the epilepsy warning! I haven't thought about that. I will get on it!

Why are unpolished 3D animations on Newgrounds more whimsical and even closer to the charm of traditional animation than most $100 million animated blockbusters?

BunnyHopDeveloper responds:

My guess..thats what happens when they polish everything..Including movement that looks closer to realism. Tho, even they admit that you must exaggerate the movement, but mostly they still make it closer to realism...My personal sweet spot blockbuster movie would be 'Hotel trasylvania'. :) (Mostly from movement perspective)

By the way..Thanks for 5 stars and kind words. It was some challenge to make it on time :)

People keep telling me this is the best online cartoon ever and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I think the sincerity and good-natured-ness is what propels it above the rest. Anybody can make a cynical parody of everything wrong with the world, but only true talented artists can make their characters deeply flawed yet extremely lovable. You just earned a new fan.

Aaron-Long responds:

Thanks a lot! Yeah I think people are generally decent underneath and mostly try to write characters empathetically. Also I don't know who was telling you such good things about this series but they sound cool haha.

Neat little senior project. Hopefully the animators that worked on this have since gotten better at solid forms, the line work was very rough and wiggly, but again, for a senior project, it’s very pretty.

rtil responds:

i'm the animator that worked on it, lol. and hopefully i have.

You have a very striking art style, but the animation lacks weight. The heads in particular look like they are floating and moving independently from the body. Also, if you plan on showing this to employers, you may want to put your contact information in the beginning and maybe the software you used so they can contact you.

I hope I didn’t come across too harsh, but animation is a pretty harsh industry and I do feel you have potential as you refine your skills.

anthonycadette responds:

thanks man I'm still learning new things so I'm trying out new styles to improve my art style thanks again and this here is my number 18682978891 I'll make sure from now on to pot that in my upcoming animations.

Not perfect, but I always enjoy seeing 3D animation on NG. The sitting character is more believable than the standing character. Keep at it!

KAnimation responds:

thanks I appreciate your thoughts. I worked on this long enough to lose perspective myself. Could you specify any details as to what makes the standing one less believable so I can know what to work on next time?

The animation was so weird and fun to watch! Bravo!

JestersAnimation responds:

Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!!
