I can tell you it really has gotten to this point in the US, where I have to deal with terminally-online loners who can't handle "woke" in any form, not even when used in the traditional, grammatically-correct way (e.g. "I woke up from a nap just now").
The funniest part is how they still convince themselves that everyone else is "easily triggered," or that reacting so strongly against commonly-used English words is somehow "brave" and "manly."
