I'm only aware of the existence of Dizzy because I used to read a retro gaming magazine from the UK that seemed to really like this eggy fella!

Yeah I myself am not entirely sure what the appeal is. I’ve played Fantastic Dizzy on Genesis, and it’s very much a “where the fuck do I go” kinda game.

I suppose I can relate to this a bit. Especially since art, for better or worse, is my "copium" when I'm anxious about the world outside of my silly doodles. At what point does doing art all the time become a counterproductive addiction, like playing too many video games or doom-scrolling social media? Is the threshold higher just because art obsessions at least lead to producing works that people can enjoy?

It is all about finding a good balance, and keeping ambition in check

Lot of my struggles with Ms. Pac stem from 2020 me being too ambitious for their own good, is the bed I have made for myself and have to sleep in it before I can get to the other stuff held back by it
