I like Ike.

Potatoman responds:

Dude that was 70 years ago

These “transformations” look so ridiculous that I actually want this game, now.

gatekid3 responds:

I love it.

Perhaps the only real downside to leaving Twitter is that I don’t understand some of these memes anymore. How are Tifa and Italy connected?

Great job on the pose, btw. Very read-able! And I still like how you draw noses.

Flikki responds:

Heh, okay so, in January there was a meeting in the Italian senate about something or other over zoom, when suddenly someone hacked in and put on Tifa x Cloud sfm porn on the screen for about 10 seconds. It's quite funny, and it seems like they had a bit of a laugh over it. So now Tifa is kinda Italian in the eyes of the Internet.

So yeah, I'm p.late to the party in making this, but better late than never.

Also thanks! Noses are p.funny, so it's fun to play around with them.

So adorable, I can’t handle it…

CuteNikeChan responds:

thank youu! <333

Entertaining, but are you going to make a cleaned-up and colored version of this soon? As it stands, it looks like a rough animation.

AncoPro responds:

Yea it's just some rough anim for fun.

I want this game.

SuperPhil64 responds:

No promises, but I'm seriously considering attempting to make something out of this.

Can I punch these faces? I’ll be more “chill” about this crypto nonsense once they at least make it more energy-efficient than taking a transatlantic trip across the continental US in a private jet, but until then I want to punch their faces HARD.

Potatoman responds:

@cryptospore hide your gf, this dude is gonna bust her face up

I’m going to name my firstborn Spooberino. Thanks, Potatoman!

Potatoman responds:

kinda.. EPIC

I consistently love your consistent art style. Consistently!

Charkked responds:

thank you for your consistent

Ahh, a great memory of a time when Sony PlayStation actually tried to compete with Nintendo in terms of creative gameplay and graphics, instead of just making gritty, "realistic", but otherwise boring and easy games on the PS4 and then re-releasing them again on the PS5. I want more Patapon!

iamgir responds:

Thank you for the review, I really appreciate it.

On another note, I can't say I agree with you on your point about the eighth & ninth generations of PlayStation. The PS4 had challenging exclusives like Bloodborne (arguably the greatest Souls-like game,) and the artistic Persona 5. There's also Astro Bot Rescue Mission, a VR game with mind-blowingly creative platforming gameplay. Not to mention Dreams by Media Molecule: a game where you can create, draw, or paint anything you can think of. Those are just a few PS4 games to mention that have challenging gameplay, unique mechanics, and stylised art direction.

And as for PS5, you've got the new Ratchet & Clank (which has Pixar-level graphics,) Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Bugsnax (a funny, cute Pokemon-like game,) and the free-for-everyone Astro sequel: Astro's Playroom (which is better than anything free on the Switch.) What you want is there on modern PlayStation too. What you're saying in regard to creative gameplay could be applied to Nintendo too, since they recycle franchises like Mario a lot. And finally, the gritty realistic games have a sense of creative art direction too -- they are just conveying it in a different way that happens to resemble real-life a little more. Examples of this include the one-take cinematography of God of War (2018,) the changing color palette of Resistance 3 throughout its chapters, and the tribal-futuristic aesthetics of Horizon Zero Dawn. Personally, I don't want PS to compete with Nintendo, because Nintendo does not make what I look for and love most in games.

But, I apologise if I went on a rant. Thank you for your rating again, it means a lot coming from an awesome artist and animator such as yourself. And yeah, I also want more Patapon :)
