So, um, don't do drugs, okay?

That's not how my Dad described the Beatles break-up. Loved the reference to Ringo Starr narrating Thomas the Tank Engine back in the day.

Overall, this was an inherently stupid idea and the final result is even more ridiculous than I could have imagined. You make me proud...son.

Nice. I'd say you should work at Warner Brothers, but that would require WB-Discovery to be run by a CEO who doesn't despise entertainment and the audience who engages with such entertainment, first.

Still, at least SOMEONE is giving me my Looney Tunes fix!

As much as I'd like to work in Hollywood, nowadays it's better to be an indie lol

Coincidentally, The Simpsons is the only other "adult" cartoon that really clicked with me besides Smiling Friends. Well, that and "The Critic" with Jon Lovitz, but we don't talk about Bruno-no-no-no...

...Sorry, I just had a heart attack-induced stroke, what were we talking about again?

This ending is too sad and too true, so thank you for adding that "Don't Give Up" at the end of the animated version. Thankfully my own passion in art has only GROWN since I saw the original comic of this, but it is important for anyone seriously pursuing art to recognize they need to REALLY want to do it for the sake of the art and that getting a "proper" job in art is no longer the only way or even the best way to turn your artistic ideas into reality. And, like any job, it requires constant study and practice and long hours. There is no shame pursuing a more stable career path while hopefully making enough money from said career to continue pursuing indie art projects on days off, anyway.

No matter how hard I try, I'm never truly prepared for Xandrecos'...unique sense of humor. Thankfully the obvious fetish fuel stuff was somewhat tame by Newgrounds standards and I was able to ignore a lot of it in favor of the more charming, almost 1930's silent film-like jokes.

Not sure why anyone thought those extremely-stereotypical racist jokes at the bug-hunting part were a good idea. I'd let the "Miltank" joke at the very end slide, though, because it's a hilarious example of "the pot calling the kettle black"--reminds me of when Patrick Star first met Mrs. Puff and said "Who's the fat kid talking to?" Hoppip or whatever that pink plant Pokemon's name was by FAR the best and most entertaining character.

I hope the protagonist buys some lip balm or something with the sheer amount of lip-licking he did, his lips must be chapped and scaly by now.

All in all, an entertaining cartoon (though some parts were more "fun" while some parts were more "WTF?!"). Hope my looong review helps to make part 2 even better. And thank you of reminding me of arguably the best Pokemon games of them all (Gold, Silver and Crystal). I was never a huge fanatic of the Pokemon series, I'm certainly not super interested in the recent, buggy-looking games, but I've got to revisit my beloved Pokemon Gold after watching this!

Deadpan humor at its finest! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this series. No, not in that kind of way, I'm too handsome to go to jail, wait FBI--

(gunshots plus pepper spray for good measure)

I was hoping I would at least turn 30 officially before I started feeling like poor ol' Kirb, here.

I've been bitten by a hamster, several cats and even a finch I was deliberately taunting with my finger once, but I have yet to be bitten by a woman, thank the skies above. I avoid the risk by not being charming enough to have a relationship with a woman in the first place, although I could perhaps further reduce my risk if I stopped showering and working out.

Some people think (straight) men only ever fantasize about touching women's breasts or something shallow like that.

I can't speak for all other men, but my fantasies involve just doing cute, mundane things with a lovely lady by my side to just talk to--watching movies on the couch, going on a hike near the beach, preparing dinner together...
