@Smirkytrick I signed the ACLU petition in addition to the Change.org petition, among other actions, just in case. Every little bit counts! Although I agree the ACLU generally has a better track record with fighting injustices and also does a much better job than the Change petition of framing the issue from a real-life civil rights perspective, making it easier for sympathetic lawmakers to take their stance more seriously.

I only know about this movie because of that one episode in the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" Netflix reboot making fun of it. The "immigration" scene at the end where Mac and his alien family look and dress like a stereotypical 1950's American suburban family was especially hilariously ridiculous, especially in light of recent events.
